Courage is required to look at your life and see what you need to change

When it comes to getting treatment for addiction, making changes in your life is never easy. The natural thing to do is to leave things the way they are. Even when we are not happy with our lives as they are, we often choose not to change. This is where courage comes in.

Courage helps us to move forward.

Having courage does not mean to not be afraid. It means that you face your fears and take action regardless. Taking action in the right direction can lead to positive change.

How do I know what I need to change?

Addiction to opioids and opiates is an especially dangerous condition. Also known as opioid use disorder, opioid addiction can be deadly. This is especially true of heroin, fentanyl and carfentanyl use. You cannot afford not to change. You must change everything to get away from these drugs.

What treatment is available for drug addiction?

There is medical treatment for drug addiction. For opioid and opioid addiction, there is scientifically proven medication assisted treatment. A doctor will prescribe Suboxone, Subutex or Zubsolv, in addition to therapy, to make quitting easier. These medications prevent cravings and withdrawal symptoms.
